Halloween Cake

Welcome back to the blog!
I love Halloween. Pumpkins everywhere, parties, dressing up, so much fun! As I mentioned in my cookie tutorial, Halloween has a special place in my heart because its always filled with family and usually involves a Disney trip. If you have never splurged on going to Disney world for their "Not So Scary Halloween Party", you should definitely look into it! You get to go trick or treating IN THE PARKS, and I think their Halloween decorations are way better than their Christmas decorations. I drew a ton of inspiration from the Magic Kingdom for this cake. At night, there are ghosts projected everywhere, there are giant pumpkins, all of the cast members are dressed in very colorful costumes, and there are tons of colors everywhere! I didn't want to make a specific Disney cake, so I took all of the inspiration and made a painterly design with little ghosts, buttercream paint splatters, and royal icing pumpkins! I also did a dual color rope border. I love the design of this cake! And I hope you do too!
To make buttercream "splatters" just take your spatula, a small amount of buttercream, and push it onto the cake. I like this technique because you can get as creative as you want!
Don't forget, live your buttercream dreams!
